The traditional instrument with the name geomungo or also known by the name of komungo, or hypogeum is constituted and formed in order to play music, in addition to this the oldest artisans use the strings to sound their melodious ones from the city of Korea, being introduced for the first time in this country and added to the category of the zither.





Many historians and musicians who specialize in the subject believe that this musical instrument was originally born in the middle of the fourth century (IV) and in turn in the seventh century (VII) precisely under the reign of Goguryeo, this being a fairly ancient kingdom that came to encompass the present-day northeast of China, the northern and central area of ​​today's Korea and the maritime southern part of Russia.

All those previously mentioned came to form the three kingdoms in principle, now many scholars and based on the ancient books that talk about history, point out that the Chinese emperors of the time came to send a kind of zither to the kingdom of Korea, although at first they were not sure what it was.


Now, a zither is basically a musical instrument made up of strings, and so named because it reminds one of a metal stringed musical instrument. Now, when this instrument was sent, it was composed of approximately seven (07) strings, but at that time none of those present knew how to play it.
